The truth you're looking for
Nested in nature's embrace, this hotel boasts fine views, especially from the Superior Double Room with Lake View. The food was really good, with the breakfast offering plenty of options. The staff are attentive, yet the noise levels from other guests can be disruptive at times, so earplugs may be necessary for a restful night.

Brilliant and clean place, understanding staff. Nice building and rooms with fabulous views from balcony. Stunning and marvellous location in a restaurant anywhere in the world, and 15 minute walk from Reservoir la Vinuela. Close enough to the mountains outside Malaga as well as a picturesque lake.

Breakfast was excellent and staff very efficient. El Horno, located within 10 minutes' walk, is a good dining option. We had a car, so 30 minutes drive to aquavelis water park.

The outdoor pool and spa services were perfect. One small hiccup was the breakfast service, as it took a bit longer than expected to get our orders, but it didn't spoil our trip at all 🌅

The Breakfast and the Swimming Pool. The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful. They even supplied, free, very large towels for the pool. We have stayed there 4 times previously and it's always a very high standard. We love the locstion and the surrounding countryside and mountains of the Sierra Tejeda. The rooms are exquisite and absolutely clean. We had the advantage of a special offer this time but the regular prices have not increased for the past 2 years. Highly recommended.

We were attending a wedding in la vinela village so the hotel was the ideal location. The staff were friendly the service was excellent, we did find the evening menu just a little too formal for our type of visit as there was not enough variety on the evening menu for a simple meal. However the food was good it was just lacking a snack/bar menu. The scenery was beautiful and it was a very romantic setting. I would imagine it is a very good hotel for honeymooners.
As stated previously, it would have been a good idea to provide something on the evening dinner menu which was a lighter, less costly meal - Im sure this would have been appreciated by some guests.

great stay but some room for improvement
The swimming pool offered a refreshing escape. Reception staff were friendly and accommodating. The garden view from my room was a highlight.
There was noticeable noise from nearby rooms, which sometimes disrupted my tranquility.

Minor issues with the hot water supply.

The location is beautiful with spectacular views overlooking surrounding mountains . The hotel itself has been refurbished and is very tastefully done. Giving the air of space and comfort
The hotel itself is wonderful but was sadly let down the evening of our stay by the kitchen. It was part of a birthday weekend for my husband recommended by friends who had stayed previously and they came to join us for the stay. There was a wedding on that evening so can only think the chef was not up to catering for so many. My starter, grilled mushrooms with slices of garlic and Iberian ham was served on a cold plate and the garlic was burnt and with very little ham it was awful and left a terrible taste in the mouth, as one can appreciate if you have ever eaten burnt slices of Garlic so it was impossible to eat. The other lady in the party had the pasta with three cheese sauce which was okay but had far to much sauce in the bowl and no garnish so looked like a bowl of soup. The two men enjoyed there starter I am pleased to say which as the foie gras. For main course I ordered the Duck which was served again on a cold plate and it was served cold with a blackberry compote and I am not sure what the other meagre offerings were on the plate but it was obvious it had been left standing as it had congealed and had a film over it that forms when something has gone cold. The other lady had the pork which looked awful when served and she did not think it tasted or looked good and when we looked closer we realized it was burnt so once again could not eat it. The two chaps fared better with the beef stroganoff but it was not well presented and was heaped high on the plate not very professional at all for the calibre of hotel. Our waiter was very apologetic and offered to replace but of course by then two disasters were enough and I had gone off the idea of eating anything else. The desserts were not much better I am afraid to say my cheesecake with red berries was bland and tasteless and the other lady described hers like toothpaste!!. Only one of the gentlemen had desert and he had fresh fruit which of course could not be spoilt. Hurray!!!!.

We like La Vinuela because of the beautiful location and once last summer we enjoyed lunch on the stunnning terrace. During our recent stay we were celebrating with friends because of a birthday and a wedding anniversary. Our rooms had beautiful views and we very much enjoyed dinner.
When we booked La Vinuela online, we chose one room at 70€ and one at 120€. However, when we checked in we were told that the 70€ room had been upgraded to the 120€ at no cost. However, the 120€ room did not get upgraded. This meant that our friends were paying 50€ more for exactly the same room next door to us. That surely cannot be correct. They should either have been upgraded to the next level of room or received the room at the same price we were paying I.E. 70€ In addition we had booked two Caribe treatments which were advertised on your website as being 58€, but when we arrived at your hotel we were informed that they were actually 72€. Surely if you increase your prices you should also update your website accordingly. I decided not to have the booked treatment, but my friend went ahead with hers and although she enjoyed it she still felt that we should have been informed of the price increase at the time of booking. We live in Competa (just 40 minutes away) and would certainly have used your hotel again were it not for the above two incidents.

Everything was really nice , no complaints at all.
The hotel gets 99 / 100 from us. The only thing we personally would like , as English people although we live here in Spain , is some English tea with breakfast.

The gardens provided a serene backdrop for relaxation, although the slow service during breakfast could use some attention. A peaceful retreat to cherish.
